My Biography

Shawn Saltou Owner/Designer for MIDWEST Drafting & Design
1995 Received Architectural Degree while studying with (and working for) two veteran Architects in the Denver, Colorado area. After graduation, I moved back home to NE Iowa ('86 grad from Riceville) where I realized that small town living in the Midwest is where I want to raise my family. In 1996, I started helping homeowners and homebuilders in Residential design and construction and quickly became addicted. Sometimes called a construction site stalker, I thoroughly enjoy watching projects come to life.

Aging-in-place means remaining in one's home safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level. It means the pleasure of living in a familiar environment throughout one's maturing years, and the ability to enjoy the familiar daily rituals and the special events that enrich all our lives. It means the reassurance of being able to call a house a "home" for a lifetime.
